A New You Website

Visit my new webpage at  http://com336anewyou.eu.pn/index.html

My website was an expansion of my Twitter account. My whole reasoning behind the content of my Twitter and webpage is I'm trying to create a better lifestyle for myself.  I'm very focused on that subject, it is something that is on my mind all the time so why not create a website about based on a healthy lifestyle.
The type of audience that may be attracted to my website and Twitter account, are those who are trying to get on the right track in their diet and overall life style change. Again my webpage is the basics on what to do for exercise and eating right, because I'm still learning for myself.
If I wish to continue on the website it would only get better. My knowledge on the topic would only get stronger and I can move beyond the basics of eating healthy and exercising.

Website Analysis

The website that I chose was bakersshoes.com.
http://www.bakersshoes.com/

This websites purpose is to buy shoes at your convenience. The websites target audience is women, because Bakers only sells women shoes but not just any women more of the younger generation from 18 to 30 years-old.

The home page is very cut and clear. At the top of the webpage there is a tool bar of different pages that the website offers and what the company is selling. There were new arrivals, boots, sandals, flats. top seller, wedges, dresses, brands, and clearance.

The typefaces are very easy to read. This website was not made to be complicated, it was made to show the consumer what is available and what is being offered.

The amount of color on the website did not stand out. The background, heading, and the webpages had text in black. The only sense of color came from the site was the images and the color of the shoe.

As soon as the website was searched, the first thing that attracts the potential buyers eye is the multi-colored image with various different styles of shoes with a bright orange section with 25% off on it. The company wants to show customers what is being offered right now in hopes of getting a sale. As for the other pages there were images of the different shoes to order.

It is very easy to navigate around this web site. The menu bar tells you exactly what you are going to see when it is clicked. It is either going to show you shoes that just come in, or the ones on sale, or a selective style of shoe you are looking for. The menu is on every page of the site so it is very easy to navigate through.

When on the home page of the web site, the first thing that the human eye would pay attention to is the color full image of plentiful shoes and the 25% off, then the image changes to more shoes with summer colors like light pink and lemons. It makes sense for the image to stand out because right away the company wants the buyers to know there is a sale and that could be the reasoning for them buying the shoes that they do. The size is huge and takes up almost the same width as the full screen, it is placed in the center and has bright colors.

The web site can be seen from any mobile device. The layout of the web site is the same from any form of technology you use. Everything that I see from my desktop computer is what is exactly shown on my mobile phone, everything scales and evens out.

Twitter Report

As I get older, I realize I am not at my ideal body or as healthy as I wish to be. For the past four months I have changed my eating habits and am getting more active. I try and workout everyday, and count calories. When presented with this project, it was only logic that I create a Twitter on a topic that I am passionate about and something that I can keep leaning about and can share with my followers. The accounts that I followed were health and Fitness accounts, Nike because I only wear their sneakers, a detox tea, and other students in my Com 336 class. Following these accounts give me motivation and ideas for myself. I watch workout videos that are posted by others and new recipes. My Hashtag that I used for more than five of my tweets was #GettingFit, well because that is what I'm trying to do with my life. You can check out my twitter @Andreamarie4 to see all my tweets and tips! Here's one tweet of mine to give you an idea of what my page is like. In my video I focused more on exercising rather than eating healthy. My Twitter account had a combination of physical, emotional and social health for a better lifestyle. The video shows how easy it is to be active without having a gym membership and using your resources that are given to you.
